🔥 A fight or attack can combine one or more of the following elements, we will look at all of them on the day, with a focus on weapon defence and ground fighting. 🔥🔥

✅Multiple opponents
🔥 Learn to translate your existing skills to real world self defence.
Cost is £30, payable on the day or in advance through me or bank transfer
For those of you doing the instructorship, testing will be the following day at 12:00.

MMA sparring gloves (available to buy on the day)
Focus Pads
Shin guards

Sticks

I tried out this muscle pain relief balm on recommendation from @jasonjohnsonlegend_pt_coach_uk who had great results with it. I got in touch with @caren.smyth and 2 days later a small package came through my letter box.
I injured my left shoulder and collar bone when wrestling, and though I have healed up for the most part I'm doing physio and all the all the right stuff, to make sure it's as strong as can be. There was definitely a noticeable in difference in pain after 20mins after trying this balm, it makes physio and continued training easier. It is not psychotropic (You don't get a buzz/high/trip). That's a win in my book.
CBD has many benefits for health, pain management. Amanita Muscaria has been shown to reduce muscle pain and relax muscles. Check out pubmed and other published articles.

Some things from the self defence class last night on the subject of pre-emptive striking:
Follow your instincts, be balanced and learn to read the person in front of you. Their speech and body language will speak volumes. This can be the decider on that pre-emptive strike and follow ups.
Knowing when to commit to that action is tied to confidence, doubt, and over thinking. Paralysis by analysis is very real. How can you know when to act and when not to? In class we referenced the Serenity Prayer. Knowing, and deciding between two things is wisdom.
The Serenity Prayer by Reinhold Niebuhr: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
and Wisdom to know the difference."
If you're having fun training, training is easier, you'll get more of it. Training is learning, and that knowledge gained brings with it wisdom.

💥 Physical combat falls into 5 areas which are striking, clinch, ground, weaponry, and multiple opponents. These 5 can overlap with each other.
💥No matter how well rounded a martial art is there is always a specialism, be it competition, grappling or weaponry etc. You may learn a lot but what is transferable to a self defence situation is a small percentage of your time and skill. Not a sensible trade off.
💥This curriculum you will give you highly functional techniques and principles that work for all 5 areas of combat.
